Our Story

Somerset Soup Company was born from homesickness, heritage, and a love that crossed an ocean. When Zuzana moved from Slovakia to New Jersey in 2016, she brought with her the flavors of home—particularly her Hungarian grandmother's chicken soup recipe.

Her husband Bobby, who she met while they were both studying at the University of Manchester, fell in love with these unique Eastern European flavors. The clean, savory depth he tasted was unlike anything he'd experienced in American soups. For years, "this soup could make millions" was a running joke between them.

In 2025, they decided to make it real—but only on their terms. If it didn't taste as incredible as what they made together in their own kitchen, it wasn't worth making at all.

Every jar is made entirely from scratch in our USDA certified facility in New Jersey. No preservatives. No additives. No co-packers. Just authentic recipes, traditional methods, and uncompromising quality.
